The Wunder Audio CM7 Fet Microphone 
A phantom powered version of the original U47 was released in 1969 known as the U47 Fet. The circuit was quite desirable, using transistors creating a very robust sound. The Fet mic has since obtained a legendary status being the most preferred mic in obtaining larger-than-life Kick and Bass tracks as well as thick and full vocals. The U47 Fet is now becoming as sought after as the U47. 

“The R & D for the CM7 FET relied on studying the original U47 closely,” says Wunder Audio’s Mike Castoro. “Employing the exact replica of the original grille is one of the key aspects of achieving the correct performance. We’ve been BETA testing this mic for a year now and are very happy with the progress and end result.”

The CM7 Fet is a modern homage to Neumann’s famous U47 Fet. Both are transformer-coupled solid-state mics with a K47/K49-style large-diaphragm capsule.

Wunder’s K47 capsule, like the original, is a single-backplate, center-terminated, dual-diaphragm design.

The mic’s amplifier circuit is not a strict recreation of the Neumann design; rather, it has been updated with modern components.

[The CM7 Fet] has a more modern FET… The original was designed when solid-state was very new, so we took advantages of newer FET technology.

The output transformer is custom wound in the US, specifically for this microphone.

The mic’s body shape and size, and the dimensions and construction of the grille, are identical to the U47Fet.

Brad Avenson of Avenson Audio participated in the design of this microphone.

The mic was released in 2009.

个人评语：当初我看中这款话筒来着，因为伍德这个公司什么都做，基本都是高仿，而且元器件都是原件，这款话筒很明显是仿制的纽曼的U47 fet，世界上出过的最高级别的晶体管录音室大膜电容话筒，据说音头是一样的，而且仿制的电路都还不错，可惜当时实体店（叮咚家）没有现货，没能实测到声音，纽曼的U47 fet也已经停产很久，现在的现货大概卖5万，也有标价2万5左右的，这款相对就便宜多了，当然听技术说，伍德是老美做工，显得很粗糙，毕竟没有上手哈。只是听说，伍德这个公司，专门做高端仿品~挺有趣的公司，各种音频输入输出设备都有~。
